ByOrgMeans' organic hydrosols is 100% pure and free from preservatives, alcohol and emulsifiers. It is the most genuine form of hydrosol (obtained by steam distillation of the plant parts): no infusion, no blend of essential oil and water and no condensed water.
These superior quality hydrosol is 3-5 times more concentrated when compared to other commercial grade hydrosol available in the market.
Our hydrosol is specifically distilled for the hydrosol, not produced as a by-product or even a co-product. It is distilled using fresh plant material allowing the supplier to capture not just all the volatile components of the plant, but more importantly, the cellular water from the living plant.
This cellular water is usually lost under the conventional high pressurized steam runs for essential oils or by using dried plant materials. It is this cellular water, imbued with nutritious minerals, phytosterols, antioxidants, and countless other natural botanical chemicals, that imparts the hydrosol with the water-soluble aromatic and therapeutic properties of the plant.
ByOrgMeans' exquisitely scented hydrosols therefore has a different make-up to their essential oil counterpart though it retains a small fraction of essential oil compounds (about 0.05 to 0.2grams per litre), mostly the gentler, more hydrophilic aromatic esters and alcohols. This is one of the reasons that makes hydrosols quite safe for children, the elderly and anybody with pronunced sensitivies.

Best Before Date vs Expiry Date
The Expiry Date indicates the point after which a product should no longer be used, as it may no longer be effective or safe. This is commonly found on medications and pharmaceutical products.
For other items—such as food, skincare, and personal care products—you’ll typically see a Best Before Date. This refers to the date until which the manufacturer guarantees the product's optimal quality. In many cases, if the product has been stored properly, it may still be safe and effective beyond this date. However, its longevity depends on the product type and its ingredients.
Products like bar soap, which are free from water content, generally have a longer shelf life and can remain in good condition if kept dry.
So, if you find a product that is past its Best Before Date, there’s no need to discard it immediately. Take a moment to check its appearance and scent. If it looks and smells normal, it is likely still usable—helping to minimize waste and support more sustainable consumption.
